Mission Statement

Committed to improving and maintaining the health and wellness of the Hispanic commuity and to help reduce health disparities.

Vision

We are committed to improving and maintaining the Health and Wellness of the Hispanic community through education and promotion of a healthier lifestyle. We are also committed to promoting the recruitment and retention of Hispanics into the nursing profession through scholarships, networking, and mentoring.

Our History

The Austin and Central Texas Hispanic Nurses Association held it's first meeting on November 15, 2003.

We were brought together by the two major hospital systems, St. David's Healthcare Partnership and Seton Family of Hospitals.

We were fortunate to have leaders from each system that recognized the need and support for such an association.

Since that day we have participated in hundreds of heath fairs, provided thousands of screenings, done radio talk shows and television interviews.....and we have just begun!
